SISU Motorsport League is opened!
Good news!
We open SISU Motorsport league where we plan to do serious races with broadcast, stewarding and prizes! And first pilot event in SISU Pilot Challenge starts on Week 13 Saturday - June 13, 17:30 GMT in the Temple of Speed in relevant GT3s.
Race will have open qualy, sprint (15 min) and full reverse grid main race (30 min). Full rules are in League and Season Rulebooks.
Prizes to be discussed yet, but besides prizes for overall winners for sure will be prizes in other categories. Hint: even if you crashed and out of competition, you can still get some nice awards ;)
Join the league in iRacing UI (ID: 10546) and you're good to go! League is not limited to team drivers and open to everyone, so bring in your friends!
Team Principal and Web-site are coming back!
Some have probably noticed the return of good old features: calendars, temporary voice chats, results. This means Team Principal is back! The world is changing rapidly, third-party services can be paywalled, restrict access, get restricted by authorities, require personal identification and so on, so we think it makes sense to have our own solution for all basic team needs. At least as reserve.
All you need to do is register and link your Discord account (yeah, yeah, again. Just one more registration, bro, I promise :) ) in Team Principal - My Profile.
- We're returning to planning short races using Team Principal. iRacePlan remains a stint planner for longer races, but due to the complexities of registration, creating surveys, updating events, and the extensive manual work involved, it's not very suitable for everyday use.
- A Wiki has been set up, which already contains articles about all the tracks and cars, and other useful features are planned. In the spirit of the Wiki, you can create your own and edit outdated ones. A huge amount of useful information is lost in the darkness of the Discord feed.
- Gallery and News section where you can share your screenshots, articles and race results.
Future plans:
- Training programs at LMS on various topics, including basic driving theory.
- We use Raven as an internal messenger. It's quite similar to Discord, but it doesn't yet support audio and video chats, which will be added in the future. There's a Raven mobile app in the App Store and Google Play; please specify sisu-motorsport.com as the website.
- An automatic synchronizer and version control for setups is planned to replace Garage61. In development.
